To learn on how ASCII text data look, you can use Microsoft® Excel® that
can handle such data. For example, enter the following data (Figure 15) in a
new Excel® spreadsheet starting from cell (A1):

Afterwards, go: File>Save As… and on the “Save As” window (Figure 16)
select a filename (e.g. random_number_data) for the data to be saved, choose
the directory you want to save (e.g. Matlab Examples) and moreover, on the
field “Save as type:” choose: “Text (Tab delimited)(*.txt)”.
